Hey! This is my first post on reelrunner. I went to watch Black Adam a few days back. It was, let’s say, nothing like I expected. Dwayne Johnson is amazing as Black Adam. Truly electrifying. Both literally and figuratively. :p The supporting perfomances are remarkable as well, mainly from Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate. He stole the show for me. The movie is a visual spectacle, though I did feel that the CGI was a bit overdone, especially in the final act of the movie. The movie is not perfect. It dosen’t have great writing, nor does it have good pacing. However, it is definitely one of the most entertaining movies of the year, if not the most. I would give Black Adam a 7.5/10. Definitely check it out in theatres if you are a fan of the superhero genre. Also, stay around for the post credits!!

Speaking of scores, I wish it has a more “haunting” theme tune, something that keeps playing in your brain – long after watching a movie. In my books great movies should have a great theme tune. But I guess David Julyan just has his own style and a lot of people love his tunes.
